TRAVEL CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

Member Travel trips are purchased from independent Tour Operators (not NTSC), and are subject to third party regulations and government travel advisories that prescribe when insurance and refunds are issued. NTSC can not cancel trips as it may prevent members from obtaining refunds that they would otherwise be eligible to receive.


CancelLation Terms: SkiCan

Trip participants may decide to cancel a trip after they have registered AND paid amounts to the Tour Operator. The earlier the member cancels, the lower the cancellation fees and penalties incurred.

NTSC and Skican strongly recommend that customers take out travel insurance before their departure or, if applicable, check their personal insurance coverage. Cancellation, interruption and medical insurance can be obtained directly through Skican. .

The $30 to $70 Registration Fee payable to NTSC upon an invitation to register for a trip is non-refundable. The following table applies to payments made and due to Skican.

      • This fee covers finding a replacement Club member, including airline ticket changes

      Shared Room Cancellation Fee

      • From 32 days prior to Departure Date
      • This Fee covers the cost of a single room if your roommate cancels his/her trip.

      • Depending on the timing of the cancellation, you have a few options:
        • If your roommate doesn't want a refund because they have insurance to cover the trip cost, you don't have to do anything.
        • If your roommate wants a refund (less any non-refundable amounts), you can either pay the single supplement amount to cover your roommate's portion OR you will be matched with the next member on the trip wait list of the same gender, assuming the trip has a waitlist.
        • If no member of the same gender can be found to share the room or you do not wish to pay the single supplement, then no refund will by provided to your cancelling roommate by the tour operator.

      Trip participant airline ticket name correction (i.e., spelling correction)

      • Name corrections required between 5 business days prior to Departure Date and the Departure Date are considered a trip cancellation.

      Deviation from booked group airline flights

      • Trip participants who contact Skican to arrange different flights (e.g., extending their stay) are subject to this charge.
      • Trip participants selecting the “No Airfare/Land Only” option and booking their own flights are not subject to this charge.

      $50

       3% credit card fee included in trip price is non-refundable.  

      Trip price is subject to change if less than 25 members register.

      Skican reserves the right to adjust the package price in the event of unanticipated increases such as fuel or new departure taxes

       Refunds  
      In the event that Skican is unable to provide a travel service due to resort or hotel closure a refund and/or a credit for future travel will be provided representing the payment made for any unused portions of the trip, not including any non-refundable fees identified as separate of the trip package.  

      1The Registration Date is the date that you complete the Trip Registration Form on the NTSC Website. It is not to be confused with the initial signup when trips go on sale (i.e. when you register for the trip Priority List).

      2The Final Payment Date is when you pay the balance due to the tour operator (i.e. date the trip is fully paid)..

      NTSC and Voyages Gendron strongly recommend trip participants purchase travel insurance before their departure or, if applicable, check their personal insurance coverage. Cancellation, interruption and medical insurance can be obtained directly through Voyages Gendron. Please note that COVID-19 prevention measures may be subject to change at any time without notice. Proof of vaccination may be required to access services (hotels, restaurants, transportation companies, tours, etc.). It is your responsibility to find out about the rules and guidelines applicable to your destination. Gendron Travel cannot be held responsible if you do not meet the requirements in place at the time of your stay. Gendron Travel is not responsible for any additional costs incurred. Costs related to entry and exit requirements of a country or province will have to be covered by the client, including COVID-19 testing.

      All rates are subject to change as a result of the following conditions: changes in airline fuel surcharges or any tax increase by travel partners (hotel, ground or air carriers, other). If the rate changes exceed 7% the club and members have the option of cancelling the contract / trip with no penalty.
