Registration

If trips are full, please register for our waiting list before the registration cut-off date.  We add buses all the time, but only if we know you want to come.  Join us!

CANCELLATION

Contact Cross Country if you need to cancel or change your registration.

A fee will apply if you cancel after the registration deadline. This covers costs the club has incurred, such as by organizing buses and lessons.

Getting there

 Bus

Buses pick up from locations at:
  • Royal York Hotel/Union Station
  • 214 Merton St.
  • York Mills & Yonge
  • 400 & 7

Occasionally we pick up from other locations depending where we are headed.

 Driving up

Register for the trip in advance so we know to expect you.

Guests are not allowed to drive up.

At the resort, the Drive-up Coordinator (DUC) will get your ticket and help with rental equipment.

COSTS AND PAYMENT

Pay for your day trip online. We don't accept cash on the bus. If you have a credit in your account click below and follow the steps to utilize your credit for payment:

  How to use a Credit

  • We're working with the resorts and bus company to update expected costs. Costs vary depending on the location.
  • Rentals (if required) are not included.

Will the trip run?

We make the decision on whether to run a trip on the Thursday before the trip, based on several considerations.

In the event NTSC would need to cancel a trip, we will issue a full refund on your account.

Plan your trip

Before your trip

On a day trip

  • Be at the bus at least 10 minutes early (more if you need to pay for parking). The bus leaves on time!
  • Make sure you get on the right bus
  • Store skis in a bag, placed in the luggage bins. Take boots inside (frozen boots are hard to ski in!)

ON ARRIVAL

  • The Drive-Up Coordinator or Bus Captain will pick up and distribute the trail passes. Please stay on the bus so we can be sure that everyone receives a trail pass.

  • If you are renting, let the bus captain know

  • The departure time will be announced. Ensure you're back on board before then.
  • Take everything that you'll need for the day. The bus is not accessible during the day.
  • Remember your bus number! There may be multiple buses at a resort, and unless you like exploring, you probably want to come home with us.

Return home

  • Be seated on the bus 15 min before we leave.
  • If you are delayed for any reason ensure the bus captain or someone else on the bus knows where you are. While we do a headcount, the bus must leave on time.
  • Keep the same seat on the way home.
  • Not returning on the same bus? Let your bus captain know
  • Did you forget something on the bus? Contact us and we'll get the items back to you. Please make sure to identify the item, its brand, model, shape, colour and anything else that would help identify it.

NTSC CROSS COUNTRY SNOW SCHOOL

Led by Nordic Technical Director Michael Leigh

Whether it's your first time out, you are a seasoned cross-country skier, or you are somewhere in between, consider taking a lesson with our team of Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors (CANSI).  They will help you improve your technique, face hills with confidence and reduce your risk of injuries.

We offer Classic and Skate Cross-country skiing.
