THE DEREK SHENSTONE AWARD |
The Derek Shenstone Award is dedicated to the memory of the late Derek Shenstone, a long-time member, ski instructor and volunteer who passed away tragically in 2014. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle soul who welcomed everyone into our club, especially our new members. Derek will also be remembered as an active member in so many of our club activities and was one of our Landmark Award recipients.
To honour Derek, we fittingly name our new member award after him. It is awarded to a new member who has enthusiastically participated in a variety of North Toronto Ski Club’s activities in their first year. |
THE FLOYD / LEVITT AWARD The recipient of this award is a member who contributes their time and energy to NTSC programs during the past season. This individual has participated in club activities with enthusiasm and dedication. The individual volunteers their time and energy to make NTSC the best traveling ski club in Toronto and encourages others to be involved. |
THE DOUG FERRIER AWARD |
The recipient of this award is a member who contributes their time and energy to NTSC programs during the past season. This individual has participated in club activities with enthusiasm and dedication. The individual volunteers their time and energy to make NTSC the best traveling ski club in Toronto and encourages others to be involved. |
THE LANDMARK TROPHY |
The Landmark Trophy is awarded to a member who has demonstrated on-going leadership, dedication and distinguished service to North Toronto Ski Club over many years. The trophy was donated to the club by T. Dohorty, an owner of Landmark hotel in Lake Placid, as a sign of appreciation to NTSC whose members were frequent customers in the hotel.
This individual has usually served on the Board of Directors, often for multiple years, and/or has served as a chairperson for one or more of the club portfolios. During their time as a volunteer they have actively encouraged members to participate and volunteer in all of the club’s activities. The Landmark Trophy recipient is a member who is passionate about NTSC and continues to give their time and energy to make NTSC the best traveling ski club in Toronto. |
