Celebrate summer at NTSC’s 6th Annual Beach & Paddle Day on Saturday, July 4th! Gather with NTSC at Cherry Beach and join us for a fun-filled day of sun, sand, and expertly guided paddling with Toronto SUP & Kayak — featuring scenic paddling and après.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
We will paddle as a group. The wind and the weather chart our course. We may head to Tommy Thompson Park, have a stop over at Ward's Beach for a rest or optional swim, paddle along the north side of the island towards the pier, pass through the channel to explore Biidaasige Park, or head to the south side of the island.
Introductory lessons will be provided at no additional charge for those who want them. Guides will accompany the group for the duration of the tour to ensure that everyone is safe.
LOGISTICS
Cherry Beach, East Parking Lot. Refer to the map in your confirmation email.
Alternate parking is available at Cherry Beach Sports Fields, 275 Unwin Ave, Toronto, ON M5A 3K8. Take the trail from the sports field to TOSUP, it's a 4 minute walk.
EQUIPMENT
Bring your own SUP/kayak and mandatory safety equipment.
A good selection of stand-up paddleboards and kayaks is available for rent. Use the discount code provided in your registration email. You'll receive a 20% discount on your rental from Toronto SUP & Kayak. Rentals include all safety gear. Book your rental period from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
RENTING
Register as soon as possible by booking your rental now. There is a limited supply of SUPs & kayaks available. Registering with NTSC does NOT guarantee you a rental. SUP and Kayak rentals are available first come, first serve.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS & SCHEDULE
Saturday, July 4th. Foul weather date is set for July 11th.
We will make a final weather call call on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 6 PM. If we need to cancel, TOSUP will reschedule, credit, or refund participants based on their preference.
Cabin tents with changing facilities will be available onsite. Bathrooms are available at the roundabout as you enter the parking lot from Cherry St.
After paddling, spend the afternoon on the beach to whatever time suits you. Plan to bring snacks, bevies, something to sit on, change of clothes, games, etc. We will secure beach space for our group in advance.
CHECK-IN & RELAX 8:00 - 9:30 AM
Arrive early to get parking, pick up your rental package from Toronto SUP, and get yourself organized.
Enjoy a morning chilling on the beach! Iced coffee, tea, fresh fruit and pastries will be served.
MEET UP / ORIENTATION 9:40 AM
Meet at the launch site to meet your fellow NTSC paddlers. The launch site is straight down the path from Toronto SUP & Kayak.
LAUNCH: 10:00 AM
Depending on your skill level, get a lesson, paddle in the bay or join the guided paddle. Wind and weather will determine our destination. Staff will be joining the group to provide assistance at the front, in the middle, and to sweep for anyone that is finding it harder than imagined.
RETURN: 12:00 - 1:00 PM
Picnic time at the Beach! Bring your own spread or support the food truck on-site!
MUST HAVES
- Life jacket/PFD & whistle (included in your rental). No exceptions! Have a look at TO Water Safety & life jackets for more information.
- Whistle, water, hat, dry bag (for electronics, etc.), sunscreen, towel, & snacks
- Sunglasses on a strap that stay connected to you. If you fall into the water, 99% sure you'll never see them again and we won't mount a search party.
- Picnic blanket, picnic lunch and beverages (No BBQs allowed on the beach).
- BONUS - Toronto SUP is offering all NTSC members a 20% discount code on rentals for the duration of the summer. The discount code will be sent in your confirmation email.
If you’re joining just for beach time — arrive at your leisure. Check-in with TO SUP; they will be saving beach space for us throughout the day.

With only 2 weeks left, all NTSC sales are final unless weather forces us to reschedule to July 11th.
