“Three years ago, a familiar yearning tugged at my soul while out west on a trip - it was the call of the slopes. After decades away, I decided to rediscover the exhilarating rush of downhill skiing. Embarking on a series of solo trips to the nearby hills in Ontario, I found myself searching for a group I would be comfortable sharing my reignited passion with. As an open LGBT adult, the reality of continually "coming out" is something you learn to embrace. During a NTSC bus trip to Blue Mountain, I realized I didn't need an exclusive LGBT ski club to feel comfortable skiing.
