If you missed NTSC pickleball this past October, now is your chance to play!
Our hosts and certified coaches, Kim Hines and Sarah Graham from Paddles Up Pickle Ball, have organized our very own NTSC Pickleball Tournament. All skill levels are welcome.
The evening starts at Birchmount Community Centre, where you will brandish a Pickleball Paddle during two hours of great tournament fun. Following the games, we'll pack up the paddles and take a short drive to The Hideout, where we've reserved the 2nd floor for NTSC Picklers to enjoy some pub snacks and game recap.

If you get to Pickleball by TTC, we'll do our best to match players with cars and space to those who need a lift to the Hideout.
DATE: JUNE 1, 2024
CHECK-IN TIME: 5:45 PM
PLAY TIME: 6:00 PM TO 8:00 PM
APRES TIME: 8:15 PM TO 11:00 PM
BRING/WEAR: Court/running shoes, a Paddle (if you have one), water bottle; gym clothes, and a change of clothes
GAME FORMAT: If all players have some experience, we will use 6 courts in a round robin type of tournament (where everyone plays with someone different) for each game. Games will run for 10 minutes, players will have a 10 minute break, play again for another 10 minutes, repeat until we end.
If some of the players have minimal or no experience, we will dedicate one court for quick instruction with the goal of getting them into the tournament by the third game.
APRES: A short, 4km drive to The Hideout, at 2282 Queen St E. An assortment of appetizers, including chicken wings, fries, veggies and dip, hummus, cheese & crackers will be served to all courtesy of Paddles Up.
Other food and drinks are your responsibility.
Space restrictions limit apres only registration to an additional 22 spots. The cost covers snacks being provided for all attendees. Exceptions will not be made.
PARKING: Plenty at Birchmount. The Hideout has street parking and side street parking.
What is pickleball?
"Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of tennis, ping pong, and badminton into one family-friendly game. It can be played singles or doubles on a court that looks like a tennis court but is much smaller. Instead of tennis rackets, you use paddles and a plastic ball."
