A great double header to New York State's two best mountains! It's been nine years since our last trip to Lake Placid and we've never done a double header with Gore Mountain, so now is the time.
Lake Placid hosted the 1980 Olympics and Whiteface is home to the greatest vertical drop east of the Rockies, with 94 trails stretching over 25 miles and encompassing three peaks.
Gore Mountain is the hidden gem of the Adirondacks. The mountain has a wide range of trails and terrain diversity, with nine sides on four peaks. There are seven mountain areas, each with its own distinctive adventure yet linked through a unique network of trails and lifts to offer the most terrain in New York State and 2537′ vertical.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
We’ll be staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites Lake Placid (HILP) [3 nights] and Hampton Inn & Suites Lake George (HILG) [2 nights]. Both hotels are located with beautiful lake views and have pools, hot tubs and fitness centres. Rooms feature mini-refrigerators and microwaves.

Changes and cancellations are subject to fees and must be arranged through the NTSC Travel Committee only.
Refund payments may not be made until Fall 2024. For any refunds resulting from a group cancellation, participants will receive refunds, net of non-refundable fees, on their credit card.
Travel Insurance:
NTSC and the Tour Operator strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance to protect against financial losses/penalties in the event you are forced to cancel or interrupt your vacation. Trip participants who do not purchase travel insurance will be required to confirm they have other coverage or understand they are responsible to any costs associated with trip cancellation/interruption.
Comprehensive Insurance coverage can also be added to a newly purchased policy. The premium is due with the deposit.
