Nordic Trek - North Bay, ON

February 13-15, 2021

Closer than you think ... North Bay is about 3.5 hours away from Toronto.  Why haven't we skied there before now!  Join us to check it out!

In the middle of the Canadian Shield North Bay offers some of the best cross country skiing this province has to offer.  The city has hosted multiple winter games and is looking forward to our visit.  With multiple ski locations to choose from we will ski at a new location each of the three days.

Wasi Cross Country Ski Club (Saturday): Located 20 minutes south of North Bay in Astorville with 43kms of classic trails and 8kms of snowshoeing.  (need to bring your own rentals)

North Bay Nordic Ski Club (Sunday): Located 20 minutes east of our hotel in North Bay we will enjoy both classic and skate trails of approximately 50kms with 3 snowshoe trails leading to a lookout ridge and an ice falls.  Check out the video for a glimpse of the trails here.

Arrowhead Provincial Park (Monday):  Heading a little closer to home on Monday to enjoy one of NTSC's favourite ski locations.  With 22kms of classic trails, 11kms of skate trails, you can also enjoy the ice skating trail, snowshoeing and tubing.

*Arrowhead PP will have an added fee for parking not included in the trip costs.

Given the unusual circumstances that this year will present us, we have implemented some new policies to meet the needs of our members. When participating in NTSC functions this season you can expect the following changes due to COVID-19 safety protocols set by local health authorities:

  • Face Coverings (mask or face shield) will be required for many NTSC functions (buses, Alpine/Nordic lessons, resorts, some socials).

  • All NTSC members (and their guests) will be required to sign a COVID-19 health declaration prior to participation in any in-person functions.

  • NTSC members and their guests must follow ALL protocols in place by vendors, host Resort(s) and Local Public Health Authorities.

  • Failure to comply with these safety measures will be deemed reason to terminate your NTSC membership without a refund
