    Race Clinic:

This clinic takes place on dedicated intermediate hill space with race gates set up to challenge our participants.  Anyone skiing parallel on Blue Intermediate Terrain (Recommended for Step 5 skiers and above) should consider this clinic to improve turn shape, speed management and coordination.  These clinics will also boost your confidence for our Annual Club Championships when we race against each other at our ability level.  Helmets are MANDATORY for the Race Clinic.

To sign up for a Race Clinic, make sure to select this when you register for your Day Trip.  When you arrive for lessons ask where the Race Clinic Groups are meeting.  NTSC usually offers 4 Race Clinics during the season and the dates are posted in our schedule.

    Bumps Clinic:

The Bumps Clinic will give skiers a chance to build confidence and comfort in the bumps.  We will group skiers based on proficiency in skiing in bumps (Intro to Expert) and will work with these groups in varied terrain to build on your skills.  Learn tactics to help you navigate the “line” and how to ski bumps based on your current ability.  This is a great clinic for anyone wanting to build their skills for Charter Trips and to make Spring Skiing even more fun.  (Recommended for strong Step 6 skiers and above.)

To sign up for a Bumps Clinic, make sure to select this when you register for your Day Trip.  When you arrive for lessons ask where the Bumps Clinic Groups are meeting.  This clinic is purposely scheduled later in the season when we hope to have nice, soft bumps to train in.  If the conditions are not conducive, your instructor may adapt to the terrain available.

    CSIA Level 1 Prep:

NTSC is fortunate to have more than 7 active Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA) Level 1 Course Conductors on our Snow School and this allows us to offer a prep day for skiers interested in taking the CSIA Level 1 Instructor Certification 3-Day Course.  During our all-day clinic, we will cover an introduction to ski teaching and ski criteria so you can assess when you are ready for the full course.  The day includes video analysis and lunch debrief.

Must be a competent parallel skier on Intermediate (Blue) Terrain.

Spots are limited to 7 participants/group on this clinic.  To register you must sign up as a participant on the “CSIA Level 1 Prep” event AND register for the Day Trip (two separate registrations).  On the morning of your clinic, please ask for the CSIA Level 1 Prep and be checked in by your instructor.

    Freeride & Park Clinic:

Learn to use natural terrain and man-made features to make your ski day even more fun!  In this clinic we will group skiers by ability and confidence in order to explore the full mountain both in and out of the Park.  Learning to ski “Switch” (backwards), riding the Half-Pipe, hitting entry-level jumps and boxes and finding natural places to “hit” will have you cheering on your fellow participants.  Your instructor will cover Safety and Park Etiquette so that you can feel at ease using all environments.  Helmets are MANDATORY for the Freeride & Park Clinic.

To sign up for the Freeride & Park Clinic, make sure to select this when you register for your Day Trip.  When you arrive for lessons ask where the Clinic Groups are meeting.
